Mentoring

For me, as a mentor, I can offer you experience led advice from my 25 years of practice on long term projects, self publishing, photobook production, exhibiting, giving talks, funding and other elements of your photographic practice.

I can also be a sounding board for you to work your ideas off.

My job with you is to help you in finding and exploring your own photographic voice, your own visual language.
I can also be someone you can be accountable to in terms of the progress of your work though deadlines we can set together for your projects progression.

First we have a free 20 minute chat to see if you feel I am the right person for you.
If you then want to go ahead, we work with 90 minute session. These can be once a month, bi-weekly sessions, or more, or less. We can work in the way that suits you and this is often flexible, based around your time and the work you are making.

A 90 minute session is charged at £120 for an online session, or £140 for an in person session here in my home city of Bath (If I am coming to you we would have to discuss my costs for travel, time, etc).
You pay for each single session at a time but that is all, even if we have decided on a series of sessions, so you never feel pressured into this.

You may decide you want to have a series of monthly sessions to allow us to progress together on a specific body of work or you might find that one session is all you need as it gives you that spark and impetus you were looking for. This is of course something we can discuss together.

During our time working together I’d also be available by email, if you needed, in between sessions with any urgent questions.
Before each session you will send me any new work you have done so I can look at it prior to our session.
