Made upon our return to our house in Balakliya, Ukraine, after a days swimming in the river with family and friends, whilst we made dinner. Later that night the skies cleared and we sat outside on colourful plastic chairs, watching shooting stars.
Many of those we shared the day with are now refugees, making new lives in the UK and Portugal, some internally displaced still in Ukraine, but all dreaming of a more peaceful time to come.
The prints are made at my lab on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 gsm Giclee archival photographic paper.
Each print is signed and the larger sizes numbered.
